These blocks are not only known for their vibrant colors and beautiful shapes, but those painted designs have a definite sixties feel--just a little bit psychedelic. There are 24 beech wood blocks and two clear acrylic prisms thrown in for fun. Several blocks carry the optical effects of hologram, mirror or glitter foil that catch the light and dress up any building. There's even a little bell tucked inside one block (hint: it's the small green one). The base block is a 1 1/2" cube so they're easy for smaller hands to grasp, stack and build. A best seller, this set can definitely stand on it's own, but don't be surprised to find it playing with other block sets and toys. It's very friendly and nicely boxed.
