Turtles seem to fascinate young ones everywhere and this little creature is no exception.  The beautifully patterned body is soft green velour while the shell exhibits an intricate design and feels like suede.  The puppeteer's hand can enter under the tail and the fingers control the front legs and head.  Our tortoise can disappear into his shell, but he's usually not shy about making friends.  Our puppet pal arrives with an attached card containing facts of interest and the folk tale, "The Tortoise and the Hare".  And he's surface washable to keep him looking spiffy.
